Building Sutton's Future Together
WHAT IS IT?
The Sutton Democratic Committee is an official body recognized by the Massachusetts Democratic Party and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. While everyone is welcome to participate in our discussions and events, registered Democrats in Sutton can join the Committee, participate in delegate selection, and may become delegates to the State Democratic Convention. The Committee helps residents take an active role in local politics and legislation that affects our daily lives, from school committee decisions to community planning and development discussions. It also gives our town a voice in the broader Democratic Party so we can provide input on state policies that affect us.
WHY ME?
In a small town like Sutton, politics is inherently personal - we see each other at Market 32, our children share classrooms and sports fields, and we cross paths at town events. Our committee recognizes this unique dynamic and believes that everyone should feel safe expressing their views and asking questions about issues that affect our shared community. We've noticed that many of our neighbors feel hesitant to discuss local political matters that impact them, and deeply matter to them. That's why we're committed to creating a welcoming space where Sutton's centrist, liberal, and independent voices can be heard.
Our committee is a forum for discussing local issues, supporting Democratic candidates and values, and working together to address the challenges facing our growing town. While we may not agree on every issue, we share a deep commitment to our community's wellbeing and a desire to see our hometown thrive. Whether you're interested in learning more about local issues, getting involved in grassroots organizing, or simply connecting with fellow civic-minded neighbors, we invite you to join us in making a positive difference right here at home.
